ARCF Breaks Ground at "Chez Moi"My House
Post earthquake 2010
ARCF recognized the urgency to build a safe, and secure home for the children where all necessary resources would be available to them. Thus began the building of “Chez Moi".

The realization of a permanent home for 58 of our children has come to fruition with your help and hearts!!
We thank all of those who have offered their help, support, and love in creating a new home for the children of At Risk!! Without you all this would not have been possible. Constuction went quite smoothly, and the project has been a great success. From day one our contractors poured their hearts, along with the cement into Chez Moi. Everyone pitched in with gusto as the project moved smoothly along day by day.

Dear Friends and Supporters,
On March 20, 2010 the realization of a dream broke ground for At Risk Children Foundation. It is said that every cloud has a silver lining. This is just such a case in Haiti. Despite the horrific losses that everyone has suffered as a result of the earthquake, there have been some positive gains as well. Buildings will at last be built to code, infrastructure will be reconsidered, and new projects will be undertaken.
It had long been the goal of At Risk Children Foundation to one day construct a permanent home for our children. One that would provide security, warmth, love, and a sense of family. The loss of our rental property in Jacmel was tragic, however it created the necessity to move immediately on our future project “ Chez Moi “.
With the support and efforts of many wonderful people, construction began almost instantaneously. Marlene Mathurin, our Executive Director, and President of ARCF, arranged for a modest, but adequate dormitory to be designed. Property was already available in Puits Blain, a very nice residential area of Petionville. There is a hospital within ¼ mile as well as some schools.
We hope that you will be excited about this project as much as we are. Your help and support is greatly needed during these difficult times. Thank you for your interest in our work.
